What was your inspiration to become a Chiropractor?

When I was fifteen, I hurt my neck in a dance class.  My mom was a great advocate for Chiropractic and suggested that I visit her Chiropractor.  I did and it was amazing.  I remember that the conversation I had with my mom on the way out of the office was that I had just found what I wanted to do with my life.  I already knew that I would, one day, pursue a career that involved helping people.  Chiropractic has made it possible for that dream to come true.

Why do you love Network Spinal Analysis (NSA)?

I love that it doesn't matter who you are, what condition, thought, feeling or challenge you have experienced in your life.  Your body can and does learn.  It learns to be aware of itself and what to do to help you.  We've been committed as a culture to learn so much...this is a must to master!!!

How long have you been involved with NSA?

I've been practicing NSA since 1990.  Since 1999 I have had the great honor of teaching with Dr. Donald Epstein, the founder and developer of NSA at programs both in the United States and Europe.

What's the most rewarding part of being an NSA practitioner?

It's a pleasure to serve people and watch them learn and grow.  It's deeply satisfying to know that you make a positive difference in the lives of people.

How have you personally benefited from Network Care?

In so many ways!  There are all kinds of paths that people take in life to support learning and growth.  NSA is the way that works for me.  I have experienced changes physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  I am grateful every day for the gifts I receive from NSA.

What are the most amazing miracles you've seen in practice?

Every day is a miracle!  Come in and find out for yourself!

 Family Chiropractic

Dr. Jay Rothstein

Before I became a Chiropractor, I began my professional life as a Civil Engineer.  I started out working in Nuclear power plant design.  I left engineering after four years to manage the family business in 1984.  I was always a very healthy man until 1987 when I began feeling very ill.   I was told by my mom that my eyes would roll back into my head and my face would turn grey.  I developed severe knee and shoulder pain and needed to sleep long periods.  My health deteriorated so much that I could barely walk or function. It wasn't until 1989 that I was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease.

I was immediately put on a two week course of IV antibiotic.  During the treatment I felt a little more alive, however, once the two week treatment ended I became ill again.  I was then put on oral antibiotics and was not able to stop because I would become sick again if I did.  I was on antibiotics for over two  and a half years and developed digestive disorders as a result.

It was during this time that I decided to change careers and go into medicine.  When I shared this with a friend at the time, and Chiropractor, he told me that I should become a Chiropractor instead.  I said to him, "Why, I don't have back pain".  He explained to me how the nervous system is the master system of the body and any interference to this system can change the function of the cell, tissue and organ that it supplies.  This includes the immune system.  This made sense to me and I decided to give it a try.  Getting regular care for nerve interference , and not just back pain, enabled me to discontinue the antibiotics without getting sick again.

Opening my mind to possibilities, like getting adjusted regularly, changed my life.  I went back to school and began my new journey into Chiropractic.  I graduated in 1995 from Palmer College of Chiropractic and moved to the State of Montana where I opened my first practice.

I lived in a small Montana town (1700 people) and gradually grew my practice using a technique called Gonstead.  It was a structural adjusting technique which people refer to as "cracking".  I practiced this way for 8 years and developed a very successful practice.  The technique had a protocol that I followed accordingly.

While using this method I would find times when I would not structurally adjust my patient.  It was during these times that I felt there was more that I could do.  I began looking into other methods of Chiropractic and discovered  Network Spinal Analysis (NSA).  NSA deals with the overall tone of the body rather than just the structure (spine).  I noticed a difference in myself when I began getting Network adjustments.

I began taking programs to learn this new method of Chiropractic.  I found that the patients were making some profound changes.  They felt more ease in their body and less stress and tension.

While taking these programs, I met one of the instructors, Dr. Robin Sherman.  Eventually, Robin and I were married, in August 2010, and I moved out to Long Island.  In January 2011 I joined the practice and in 2014 we moved into our new location in Seaford.

In June 2019 I completed my Masters Certification in Health/Wellness Coaching and National Board-Certified December 2021.  I added this in order to help our clients achieve a lifestyle of health and wellness that is sustainable.

We are both here to share our gifts with our patients and practice members and we look forward to meeting all whom have blessed us with viewing our site.
